Degree Verifications
Degree verifications will not be released for any student who has an outstanding financial obligation to the Institute.
Degree Verifications verify all awarded degrees with corresponding dates.

Georgia Tech has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to act as our agent to provide degree verifications to third parties. Third parties must use the Clearinghouse. Please visit the Clearinghouse online or contact the company by phone at 703-742-4200.

Ordering degree verifications in BuzzPort
Students are able to print their own degree verifications using the instructions below. This is an online service and is available 24/7 to current students and alumni of Georgia Tech. This is a free service.
Instructions:
- Go to Buzzport
- On the Home tab locate the "Registration and Student Services" channel
- Select the "Registration link
- Select "Student Services & Financial Aid"
- Select "Student Records"
- Select "Online Degree Verification"

About the Letter of Recommendation
The Letter of Recommendation is for Georgia Tech students who have been academically dismissed and wish to attend another school.
Ordering a Letter of Recommendation via fax or mail
Current and former students must complete a Verification Request Form, sign it, and submit it to the Registrar's Office. Computer-generated signatures are not acceptable.

About the Pre-Registration Letter
The Pre-Registration Letter states that a student has registered for classes for a future term. It also states that an actual verification of enrollment cannot be made until after the final day of registration is completed for that term.

About the Verification of a Pending Degree
Students who have petitioned for a degree for the term may request a letter stating that they have a "pending" degree and that the degree will be awarded when all requirements for the degree are completed. This option is not available for students who have already been awarded a degree. Students who wish to have verification of an awarded degree should request a Degree Verification instead.

About the Verification of Overall GPA
The Verification of Overall GPA indicates the student's current grade point average.
Ordering a Verification of Overall GPA via OSCAR
Students may request a Verification of Overall GPA be mailed or picked up from the Registrar's Office. A photo ID is required when picking up the document.

- Select "Student Services & Financial Aid"
- Select "Student Records"
- Select "Verification Requests"
You should receive a confirmation message on the screen after submitting your request. If any technical problems arise, a "Request Failed" message will appear, and you need to try again later.
There is no fee for a Verification of Overall GPA ordered via OSCAR.
